Graduation was a great experience for all involved. Upon completion of my last final Karen picked me up and took me back to our apartment. I walked up to the door as I normally do and as I was about to put the key in the lock a bald, small, perplexed head popped up into view and scared the living daylights out of me.
When I came to my senses I saw my nephew Braden and my brother Cavin in the window! I had no idea they were coming down. What a wonderful suprise. This meant that our whole family (minus Tyler) would be around for a few days in celebration of my graduation. The graduation itself was a neat experience. President Hinckley, Elder Bednar, Elder Scott, and Vice President Dick Cheney were all on hand. The convocation for the School of Technology was the following morning and it was a bit of a surreal feeling knowing the numerous hours of homework, late nights, and term papers all went toward this degree I was being awarded. The best part of the whole experience though was having my family around and spending time with them. Hope you enjoy the pictures.
Love,
Karen and Erik

Congrats Erik. We had such a blast coming up there to surprise you, or in your terms, "scare the living day lights out of you." :o) Good luck finishing the rest of your courses this term. You're almost there! We can't wait to see you in a few more weeks. Love ya.
